Cambridge Burlesque Instructor Wanted | Experienced Teacher for Burlesque Dance Classes

Job Description:

We're seeking a confident and skilled burlesque instructor to join our team in Cambridge. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, body positivity, and an empowering teaching style to introduce students to the art of burlesque performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead engaging burlesque classes for students of various skill levels
Teach burlesque techniques, including dance moves, sensual expression, and theatrical performance
Develop comprehensive lesson plans covering choreography, costuming, and stage presence
Provide guidance on prop work (e.g., fans, gloves, chairs)
Foster a body-positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students

Requirements:

Proven experience teaching burlesque, preferably in Cambridge or surrounding areas
Strong knowledge of burlesque history, styles, and performance techniques
Excellent communication and demonstration skills
Ability to create age-appropriate content for different class types
Understanding of safe dance practices and body awareness
Comfort with discussing and demonstrating sensual movement in a professional manner
Punctual and reliable
