Cambridge Street Dance Teacher Needed | Hip Hop and Commercial Dance Instructor Wanted

Job Description:

We're on the hunt for a dynamic and skilled dance instructor to teach street dance, commercial, and hip hop classes in Cambridge. The ideal candidate will bring fresh energy, current trends, and an inspiring teaching style to our dance community.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead engaging classes in street dance, commercial dance, and hip hop for various skill levels
Develop and teach cutting-edge choreography
Provide instruction on foundational techniques, isolations, and freestyle skills
Create a high-energy, inclusive atmosphere that encourages self-expression
Prepare students for performances and potential competitions

Requirements:

Proven experience teaching street dance, commercial dance, and hip hop, preferably in Cambridge or surrounding areas
Strong knowledge of various urban dance styles (e.g., breaking, popping, locking, house)
Up-to-date with current trends in commercial and hip hop choreography
Excellent communication and demonstration skills
Ability to break down complex movements for beginners
Understanding of music theory and how it relates to urban dance styles
Punctual, reliable, and able to motivate students

Details:

Location: Central Cambridge (specific studio address to be provided)
Schedule: Weekday evenings and/or weekend classes (to be arranged)
Pay: £25ph Competitive hourly rate based on experience
